LSNED Day 2

Today I learned that by picking up a book which I had put down in the past because I cannot quite get on with it...can make all the difference in my reading it! I had started reading a book about a year ago and put it down because I just couldnt get on with it...and now after picking it up again I am finding it hard to put down!! Sooo before I get rid of those "hard to get into books...I shall give them another chance!

LSNED DAY 1

Ahhh so September first is finally here...Alan and I were out @ braintree shopping outlets today enjoying the sunny day and our time off work together. Ahhh but what did I learn today? My lesson for today is "Less is sometimes better" We went to Chimiganas for lunch/dinner before we left Braintree and once again forgot how big their portions are...we should have just had the sharer starter and a drink and not ordered dinners....would have left without feeling over stuffed if we had. Ahhh but isn't that what life is all about...we live and learn! Love and light to all. xx

Almost that time again....

Yep....its almost September 1st and time for Shimelle's Learn Something new every day workshop! I will be blogging it this year as well as making an album although the album may be a bit slower than the blog (hence keeping it all in my blog since my memory just isn't what it used to be! lol) I do hope you will pop back and follow along with my journey through September and see what kind of new things I learn!

EXPLORE!!

I have for the past week participating in Shimelle's "EXPLORE" workshop! Loving it as I am working through this at my own pace....but loving every aspect of participating.Our very first assignment was to take a self portrait and I did this with a bit of a twist..instead of setting up my tripod and timer or standing in front of a mirror..I went up to the full length mirror which leans against the wall in our box room...a room used more as a laundry/storage area and sat upon the futon and snapped away! Out of all the shots..this is the self portrait I like best!
