Memory box and calandar

I have made a couple things this holiday season for my hubby for christmas ..firstly a desk calander for him to remember all those important dates! Also a memory box for him to put things in it that someday he can look back on and trigger memories....planning on making one for myself after the new year also.

Again...sorry its been so long since I have been here...but guess what?? I AM BACK! I have been doing a bit of crafting...here's the latest couple things I have done :D

Its been a long time...

Wow its been quite awhile since I have posted here, sometimes our lives get so busy and the more we try to do the less we get done, I've been settling into my job and taking alot of courses and just living life. My crafting has taken a back seat to life the past few months but now that the sun is not shining as much and the days are getting cooler I will most likely be spending alot more time in my craftroom so there will be posts added here once again. I have thought about canceling out this blog and my photo blog but decided to keep them for awhile longer and see how I feel in a couple months about them. Since I am lucky enough to have my own craft space I am planning to spend alot more time in there doing what I love to do in my spare time..CRAFT!
So....watch this space I guess...well that is if you want to. Love and light to all who come by here.

Studio 101 August first challange lo

Here is my take on the August first lo over on The Studio blog We were to create a lo using a non scrapbooking item (the ivory turtle) use borders..I have used a few and also to combine stamping with journaling, I have stamped a few of my words in with my hand written journaling.

Here is a page I have done following a pdf tutorial from Scrapdolly on an August 2nd post on her blog. I have totally enjoyed doing this page and featuring the younger and the male of our two cats. Our infamous..Pickles.

Just a couple more items to add...These are for the challange I set over at Charmed cards and crafts...One challange I set was to alter a canvas...requirements were to use paint of any type, use fibres and also use glitter..I added also 3 buttons to mine.

My second challange was for everyone to do a layout with ALOT of journaling, plus since I will be 52 to add either 5 or 2 of something and also to use chipboard. I really like the way both of these have turned out. Love and light to all who pass by here and stop to have a look. xx Tee

One on its own.....

This Layout I just absolutely love and I also love the photo! I managed to get a whole series of shots while Pickles "played" with this little mouse.....I won't say anymore.

Who's been busy??

Here are some Layouts I have recently created...the three of myself will be added to my album of me, I am getting braver doing layouts of myself as I really would rather not but hey its me and my past so I may as well scrap them!

Recently....

Recently a couple of very special friends of our welcomed a little daughter into the world..so I got busy making..no not a card but a canvas for them to hang on the wall if they so chose to....and also to welcome baby Darcy into the world a basket full of goodies for her and also so mum and dad wouldn't feel left out I made a basket for them too...thank you for looking. :D

Here are a couple layouts I have done recently...both for uks weekly challanges Summer sunset was done for the July wk one challange and the photos were taken in June while we were in cornwall, Charlies 21st is my teams challange on uks for July wk 2, the photos are of my youngest sons birthday celebration dinner on July 3rd. The Studio- July's challange!

Here is a layout I have done for the July challange over on THE STUDIO blog. The challange was use stash that you have had longer then 6 months and to do pleating somewhere on the layout and also to use a Rock Song title, which I have done..the pleating I have done with the netting between the photo's and the Rock song I chose was "Seagull" by Bad Company. The photos I took at Lyme Regis in June 2009. Thank you for looking.

Dotties World Challange..

The challange for this week over at Dotties World is entitled "Christmas in June" and I decided since I have just bought the new digi downloads "Pixie Chicks" I would use "Holly" Pixie for my card to enter this challange.

I have printed Holly onto acetate and cut a window in my card stock for Holly to show through, I then printed Holly out on Saf Mat and placed in on the inside of the card directly behind the acetate image so when the card is open, there is another Holly :), I have also used lace to fame the window on the front of the card and used a digi frame from the same collection printed to frame the inner from side of the card. I have printed the front greeting from the Pixie chicks collection also onto saf mat to add to the front of the card.

Just a bit of crafting....

My plane ride to the States in February ..the plane was so empty..I had my choice of seats!

My very best friend, my soul mate, the man that fills my world with sunshine, my husband.

My second eldest son Dan....uh huh during a bit of partying! He will love me for this layout. lol

And here they all are, another one of all my son's together..I love doing layouts of all of them!

Ok..the photo you've been waiting for...My recent trip to Ally Pally and the stash I acquired while there :D minus the flowers..lol Also..I forgot to take the 10 sheets of pp out of the black photo album I place them in to protect them after I bought the album. Been doing a bit of altering..I bought this word "Dream" while in the states (it was plain wood)and decided it was time to alter it just a little and hang it in my craftroom. I wanted simple but yet a bit girly...This is what I came up with. Thank you for taking time to look at my blog. :D

A Couple layouts and a card......

After spending a couple weeks revamping my craftroom I have been doing a bit of crafting...Thank you for having a peek. The card is for a member challange on Charmed cards and crafts, as well as Dancing on Wheels, the photo is a photo of my parents when they were quite young...the Catarpillar is of my niece while out shopping at Michaels in the USA (my ds3 took the photo) last but definetely not least "One in a Million" is a photo of my Auntie that we lost in Feb. this one was very very hard to do and alot of tears were shed while creating the layout....as this also was one of the last photo's I took of her and the last time I saw her before her passing. Thank you taking the time to look at my creations.

Colour Our World...

Karen over at Charmed cards and crafts have teamed up with Copics to give away 72 copic markers to someone who has coloured in an image, either one of your own or one of the digi images sold at Charmed. Just a couple more photo's of my new craftroom.

My Very own space :D

Over the past couple of weeks Alan and I have been very busy making some changes around the house..my craftroom being one of those changes. I have given this alot of thought and when I saw these shelving units knew immediately this was what I wanted...Alan made the work area with new kitchen base units and then a white work service which gives me plenty of work space to create to my hearts content :) The top couple of photos are of how it used to look....unorganized and messy lol and the rest of the photos are of the new area. Please if possible could you leave a comment just to let me know what you think of my new space..I would love the feedback. xx Tee
